Just do it

Angel pondered about it for a day or two. She didn't even talk it over with Jared, but while he was at work and she was watching the meat stew in the crockpot on a chilly day, she called Jody.

"I think you should move out on your own," Angel told Jody. Something about Andrew made Angel furious, especially when he started talking about 'my people', but she didn't say this to Jody. "I just think he's taking you for granted."

"For granted?" Jody sounded as if she'd never heard of such a thing as if she'd been left in the dark this entire time.

"I know you're young, and well, he's the first guy you've ever been in love with," Angel didn't mean to burst Jody's bubble, but there was more to life than waiting for your fiancee to decide on everything.

"Don't you have any girlfriends or someone you could..you know, move in with?"

"I dunno." Jody sounded as if this might take her a year to decide.

"You need to do it now. Move back to the dorm. Just have some time alone." Angel was certain Andrew needed to know just how he really was. It was as if Jody could get married without him if she wanted to.

"If..if he loved you so much, why hasn't he married you already?" Angel was even alarmed that she'd asked that question to Jared's sister over the phone. As it was, she hadn't even mentioned her pregnancy to Jody. She didn't want to. Possibly, being involved in Jody's life was just a distraction. She didn't really know. Yet, she felt Jody was family because..of course, Jared was family. Maybe she was doing all this for him.

"I..I could talk to Cara," Jody spoke of her older step-sister. It had been a while, but at the last minute Cara broke up with her boyfriend and they didn't get married. Except she lived in Iowa. "She works in Omaha. Maybe we could get a place together."

"You should look into it," Angel kept going as if they needed to make this Andrew suffer a little. "Ask a co-worker. Somebody always needs a roommate, somewhere."

"Okay." Jody sounded she was on board with it.

Angel smiled, thinking Jody would be a lot happier without Andrew. She just didn't know it.

  1. First, thanks for letting me know that Angel and Jared aren't step-siblings! Second, I could tell that Andrew was a creeper but am still surprised that Jody isn't putting up more of a fight when Angel suggests she dump him. It's like she wants to break up with him but is afraid. Maybe Andrew's even worse than he seems . . .

The fish in the collage is so cute! :)

    1. Thanks so much! Oh, I don't think he's too horrible. He just sees things differently from spunky Jody. But she might need to be just on her own and living the single life.

  2. OMG is that the guy on A Love so Beautiful on the pics?

Jody will be much better without Andrew, that's what I think too,
she's being neglected and nobody deserves that.
