coming undone in knots

Rex wasn't certain it was Kelsey at first. But there she was. And she was with him. Rex attacked the cereal boxes with the price gun then. Click. Click. Click. More clicks. He just couldn't help himself.

What the hell? He winced. Kelsey was with Jack. How long had this been going on? Seriously, he wanted to know, but he wasn't going to ask. He was just going to ignore the hell out of her. Just as she was ignoring the hell out of him.

He gritted anger then. He was pissed. He thought he might bust a blood vessel in his neck, and he knew she wasn't worth getting that angry, over. Rex took a deep sigh. He got his work done. The two went on their way. It wasn't long until they were gone.

Just then the manager asked him if he could run the cash registor for him. Rex just nodded. He'd never ran one here, but he knew how. So he worked for a while cashiering. He looked at the clock. It was getting close to noon. They were putting out roasted chicken. He remembered Maria. Wasn't she coming at noon?

Luckily, who was supposed to work showed up so Rex clocked out and went to the deli. He had to think here. He knew he could find something. Lunch. He needed help. Luckily, Doris who ran the deli was there. He picked up a roasted chicken, rolls, a big salad from the salad bar. A few more things that Doris thought were really good.

"Oh, and don't forget the wine." She smiled.

Rex just smiled. He guessed Doris thought he was getting ready for his girlfriend because she brought him a very pretty bouquet of sunflowers.

I agree, he sounds really upset.

I'd be pretty furious. Especially, if you are the father of her child.
