Kelsey got the impression that Nick had forgot everything he said about the baby. She hadn't heard from him in ages. It seemed everyone was getting on with their life, but her. Hers was on hold because of this pregnancy. Or maybe she was just moody.
Of course, Rex called. All the time. He just wouldn't let up. Couldn't he see that she'd decided? She wanted to have nothing to do with him. Nothing.
Instead, she wanted Nick and Heath to embrace this situation of hers. Find the joy in it. So she guessed she'd have to make a trip to this little place they called home. And it would have been endearing, if someone wasn't already there. Rex.
"How could you!" She actually, gave Nick a shove in the chest. "Why is Rex here!" She wanted that guestroom of theirs. She so deserved it more than Rex.
"You have your parents." Nick said so matter of fact.
Kelsey didn't know how to react to that. So. So it was not right. Nothing was right at the moment to her. As if all she needed was another tizzy.
"I suppose Heath put you up to this." She kept hugging herself there in Nick's country bumpkin place. It was so homey. The light shown through that this was disgustingly quaint. She so wanted to hate it here.
"Heath?" Nick just smiled. "Are you kidding me?"
Well, she didn't know what to do. She just didn't. She was on her own now evidently and very undecided so she fled to her car and took off in a trail of dust.
