"So, you don't think Father Keegan's going to be a problem?" Nick was still concerned about this whole school thing.
They were driving around town where they hoped to make a home. Naturally, he couldn't seem to find any of the addresses he was looking for.
"I don't guess. Didn't seem like it. He wanted me back for next year, you know. Anyway, he seems to think he can help get me a placement somewhere in another Catholics school in Iowa." Heath told him as he pointed to house for sale. It looked newer than the others on the list. It was steal gray and cute.
"Well, I know a way you can make a pay check in June. 2 thousand dollars." Nick smiled.
"Really?" That perked Heath up. "How?"
"Do a work shop for me during the summer reading program at the library." Nick smiled.
"Me?" Heath winced. "What kind of workshop."
"A drama workshop. It should be right up your alley." Nick parked the car in the driveway. And they got out.
"You have a degree to teach drama, right?"
"Oh, come on. Its for three days." Nick reminded him as they went to look at the front porch.
"OK, I guess." Heath looked at Nick and smiled.
"You like this place, don't you?" The yard was so green. It looked move in ready. Nick had to admit it was pretty adorable.
"Well, lets hope it looks just as good on the inside." Heath shrugged.
Nick unlocked the door. The floors were new and wooden. It was a big open space that went right into an open dining area and then a kitchen.
"I dunno if I like that." Nick slightly winced.
"Are you kidding me?" Heath laughed at him. He went right to the kitchen an opened the shiny silver fridge door. "Just look!" He pointed out back. It was picture perfect with a deck and lots a room for a dog. "I want to spend the night here."
"What?" Nick looked at him as if he were crazy.
"Yeah, its furnished."
Nick looked at the spacious living-room. It wasn't completely furnished. A few items. Like a couch. And there was breakfast bar in the kitchen.
"Call the realtor and ask." Heath was serious. He went on upstairs and called down to him. "Yeah, there's a bed and everything up here. Just call!" He shouted back down stairs.
Nick couldn't help but laugh. Yeah, he was getting excited. Heath couldn't wait to have a home, either.
