On the bright side Father wasn't there to see the show choir perform their number. That alone was a big relief to Heath. Needless to say, he hadn't known how stressed the students were because of him. Really, it was a great afternoon. Because they came in first with a piece that Heath had came up with. Well, he didn't want to take all the credit. There had been a lot of brain storming. And they all loved the song and wanted to do it. And it paid off.
Everyone did the happy dance when they found out the news. So it was a nice bustrip back. All he had to do was make sure his classroom was ready for when he got back, and he was good to go for Spring Break.
Of course, finding a few extra strangers waiting for him in his classroom was the last thing he expected.
"What are you doing here?" He felt dizzy from the shock of seeing Nick there with Olivia and Ravi. Naturally, he had to hug Olivia as if he'd missed her the most.
"We thought we'd kidnap you." Olivia beamed.
"Wow, the three of you?" He looked at Ravi then Nick. He gritted a smile. Told them all about their big win at the competion.
"So, does this mean more competitions?" Nick asked.
"Just a couple of more." Heath nodded.
"You're free to go, right?" Nick wondered.
"I think so." He didn't care about the classroom. He really didn't. He felt like he was home, already.
But then they had to go back to his place. Of course, this meant introducing Olivia to Maria and everyone else in the hall.
Heath was exhausted. At least Nick got to look around at his place.
"So you like the place?" Nick picked up the Domo doll he'd given him for Valentines day that was next to his computer.
"Not really." Heath scratched the back of his head. "I don't like being alone."
"Well, I can't wait to get you alone." Nick barely said above his breath.
Heath just gave him an open smile.
"Lets just get out of here." Naturally, it was almost dark before they started the drive home.
